COVID Precaution Protocols
As a health care professional working in the NICU setting, I strive for excellence in infection control. Here are the following ways I am implementing infection control at my practice:
-
I wear a mask and eye covering (goggles, glasses) during my entire interaction with you. Every day, I sanitize my eye coverings with CaviWipes (hospital-grade disinfecting wipes).
-
I wash my hands before seeing a breastfeeding dyad, after, and in between dyads.
-
I wipe down my equipment: foot stools, scales, and surfaces: countertops, door knobs, before patient and after a patient.
-
I would put a new blanket covering the breastfeeding chair for each breastfeeding dyad. Each blanket will be for single use. I cover my nursing accessories: bobby, mybrestfriend nursing pillow, with single use blankets.
-
I will email you forms to get as much medical history done virtually and only needing in hands on in-person interaction.
-
I have a sanitizing table that includes clean and dirty pens, hand sanitizer, and disinfecting wipes.
-
If I have any slightest symptom, such as a sore throat, running nose, fatigue, cough, I would cancel at no cost to you and re-schedule at a time when I am feeling better. If I am unable to re-schedule at a convenient time for you, I will provide you with referrals to other lactation consultants/occupational therapists.
-
I am vaccinated and boosted with the Pfizer vaccine in September 2022.
Safety is very important to me. Please feel free to call or email me for further questions.
